Do not get wet or sweat before your initial rinse. This includes working out, washing your hands, makeup and lotions. Don't touch your hands to your body or cross your legs, to prevent transfer and rubbing.
During your initial rinse, use water only at a lukewarm temperature. Rub the bronzer off your body with your hands only, in a circular motion. Do not use soap or a washcloth/loofah. Pat dry with your towel.
Wait 24 hours from the time of your initial rinse until you take a shower with soap. Do not sweat or put on makeup during that time period. Wash with hands only, using a gel-based body wash.
Moisturize your body 1 to 2 times a day to keep the skin hydrated and increase the longevity of your tan. Make sure your moisturizer is free of sulfates, parabens, mineral oils, heavy fragrances, alcohol and petroleum by products. Drink lots of water
Avoid contact with water for long periods of time. This includes hot tubs, pools, saunas, baths, long showers, and sweating. Always use sunscreen with spf, and make sure it is a lotion, not an oil, and one that does not contain mineral oil.
When you're ready for your next spray tan, make sure to use an exfoliating mitt to remove all the remaining tan from your previous tan, before your next appointment. This provides a clean base for your new tan to ensure flawless and lasting results.
